Marlins
It's still early, but this is quite a slow start for Pujols... By far his worst month in his entire career... Albert Pujols went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Sunday's shutout loss to the Indians. Since ending an 0-for-21 skid on Thursday, Pujols is just 2-for-12 with a pair of singles. Meanwhile, his season-beginning homer-less streak is now at 22 games, putting the Angels' $250 million man in danger of the first bomb-free month of his 12-year career (not counting March and October, of course). "It's still early," of course, but a .216/.266/.295 month for the game's best player is troubling after he set career lows in average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage last season. dom2613
Well Stanton is no longer in the no homer boat. Maybe Albert will get out of it soon.

mystikol87
He'll be fine. But will he be worth $250MM over 10 years? Even a little regression would make that awfully tough.

Admin
He'll be fine. He will probably end up being a shadow of his former self and not close to being worth his new contract. "Fine" is relative. I think we'll see solid numbers, but not MVP caliber numbers.
Erick
Yeah, that's what I meant. He's not going to be the same player he was during his prime years, but he didn't just suddenly forget how to hit. His power will comeback at some point. Surprising he's not getting more hits considering he's hitting line drives 25% of the time so far this year. Marlins
Angels are currently second to last in the AL in runs scored... Pujols needs to wake up & spark the Angels offense.

TheU
I'm sooo happy we didn't sign him. And this is not hind-sight, I didn't want the fish to sign him when we were in the running for him!

Marlins
He finished the month of April with 0 HR's--the first month of his career in which he has not hit a HR. Another surprising stat: 0 RBI's in last 14 games.

Schnellders
Beltran actually did that in 3 innings.. lol. Cards have to be feelin pretty good about their decision so far Not quite as easy to say that he would still be homerless playing for the Cards this year
Michael
Apparently, he'd have 5 or 6 homers if he was still in St. Louis... :lol
TheDon
Obviously a bad baseball contract (but not necessarily a bad business contract) but its going to be funny when he gets back on track and all the naysayers start back pedaling.
