5/13 Post Game

LOL. I had MLB Gameday and saw Bell give up two runs in the top of the 9th, so I switch away to another app.

But Gameday has an annoying habit of playing the last currently available highlight soon after the game is over, and they played the Mets go-ahead hit off Bell, so I thought, yeah, that confirms the Marlins lost again thanks to Bell's struggles, so I didn't bother to check the score.

Then, of course, comes the "Holy Crap!" moment when I finally switch over to find the Marlins scored six in the bottom of the ninth, and Staton's hit a grand slam to win!

Talk about fake out!

That was Cody Ross walk off style - I am still shaking and screaming.

:kiss

Me too...I keep rewinding it. And also, it makes me choke up a bit to see the big crowd collectively losing their minds as soon as Stanton connected, and the celebration at home plate.

Bell is still a problem -- no way he should be struggling to get outs every other game. Given the lack of offense, the Marlins shouldn't overlook how lucky they were the bats came alive just in time to bail Bell out.

He got away with another subpar performance and he's still got his work cut out for him if he wants to remain the closer.

Z has a 1.88 ERA over 7 starts. Dude has pitched his ass off.

Knew Stanton was swinging on that first pitch, I was sorta expecting a pop up though.

Awesome game

Huge triple from Boni to start that rally..

Damn these early games after an overnight shift. By the time I got home from work and did some last minute Mother's Day gift shopping the game was already on and I dozed off right around the 6th. Though this was a pleasant surprise to wake up to!

Now Gaby Sanchez cannot hit against lefty starter, EVEN. (Jon Niese is not Dominent pitcher like Johan Santana)

Two of most strongest points are "has Good number against lefty" and "Defensive".

If he cannot hit the ball against lefty, he is just defensive "1st baseman".

Stanton hits a walk off grand slam in a 6 run 9th inning and you make a post about Gaby Sanchez?

I told, I'm just kind of person that looked into baddest thing, even we won the game.

Win is win, but you have to think about way to win the game, I think.

I've tried to remind of it.

I've known Gaby can hit the ball against lefty, but he cannot.

So I just worried about him.

Don't you worry the player who still hit below .200??

Walkoff GS is one day, but we have to think about "big picture".

The decision to use him in leverage situations right now is absolutely inexcusable. The raw stupidity is unfathomable. The grand slam bailed out Ozzie/FO as much as it bailed out Bell.

The level of stupidity is actually quite similar to the one on display in 2009 with Bonifacio. I swear, our FO sometimes. Its like they're trying to force to contract to work the way they tried to force Bonifacio to work then. Who cares if wins are on the line?

Mets need a new closer ASAP.

I guess Bell is available.

He's a bargain. He won more game than a pitcher with ERA 1.88.

Stanton is from another planet.

Still 1B Gaby Sanchez?

I will say, I would like to see LoMo get a start at 1B soon to give Gaby some days off. He needs a fire lit under his ass.

But that's for another thread.

FO or Loria????? That's my question.
