NOTtheILMarlins
2011 June : 1-8 2012 June : 2-7 The difference is I think we had like 7 of our first 9 losses in 2011 by 1 run that was only the case once in this 6 game slide.
pollythewog
We are not a very good team. The situational hitting has been a disaster. Send cogs down ASAP pls.

canada-marlin24
Coghlan was doing a decent job at one point but he needs to go. The 7th inning said it all with 1st and 2nd no out and they get nothing again. Everyday I wake up hoping that the nightmare ends but by the 3rd inning you already know the loss is coming. Infante, Reyes, and Hanley haven't done f*** all.
pollythewog
Get infante out if the 2 spot
True CRaysball
Good series, guys. Now go sweep the Red Sox and I'll see you Friday at the Trop. We'll do our best with the Mets.

CyggyMarlin
If we are still in it by trade deadline, makes me wonder what the FO will do (or not)... this offense needs more firepower
canada-marlin24
On Tuesday night we were tied for first. On Sunday afternoon were 5 out and have to play a red sox team who just got swept.

Dr Beinfest
I don't think the Marlins ever win on my birthday. Or my birth month.

MiamiNative0722
I don't even know what to say anymore... Our contact hitters aren't hitting.
Hotcorner
at least LoMo looked better today, & Gaby had a big double. His at-bat in the 8th was a tough one & he's probably trying to be more selective. Probably got screwed on the call too. But not stringing enough hits together, & we're not getting the starting pitching anymore either.
dom2613
The pitching was bound to cool off but the bats have not picked it up.
AeroFishOne
Lomo had an excellent response game. Gaby nas a nice RBI. If we are going to keep demoting players lets atleast start calling up guys that have never been up, see what sticks instead of the same guys over and over with little change. I say that tongue in cheek but not really. Maybe we have a diamond in disguise.

Admin
They should just start Gaby at first, Morrison in left, and Ruggiano in center for awhile. That's the best configuration in terms of ability/upside.
Hammerhead
Get infante out if the 2 spot And replace him with?
Fishcrazy
My first game at the park. What an awesome place LoMo was the lone bright spot, hopefully he starts to put it together. He's been hitting the ball well for most of the year just wasn't driving it in the gaps. Once Boni comes back you could move Infante down to have a decent bat down the order or vice versa. Either way, we miss Boni badly he opens up a lot more options with the lineup. On ESPN tonight so the whole country gets to see our suckage. Hammerhead
Morrison has been such a streaky hitter for most of this year. April 27 - May 5: 3-19, 4 K, 2 BB May 6 - 14: 8-26, 4 K, 3 BB May 14 - 25: 3-37, 12 K, 8 BB (the stretch that really hurt his numbers) May 26 - June 2: 8-27, 4 K, 4 BB June 3 - June 8: 0-15, 6 K Now, after last night, if the trend continues, he'll come out of it and heat up again for another week or so before cooling down again. Right now, he's really reminding me of Cody Ross.
