Marlins may become sellers

i would have 0 problem trading reyes. i didn't think he was a good signing in the offseason and still don't think he is. we need and have needed for a while another middle of the lineup bat and instead we overpaid for a guy in reyes who doesnt really bring anything new to this team and we bought high. money would have been better spent on fielder, much higher production.

The Reyes signing moved Hanley from SS where he wasnt very good to a position hes actually played quite well.

Defensively and offensively it was a good signing at the time if you look at the big picture. Nobody could have predicted that the entire lineup would be under performing.

WE could have had bonifacio at SS and signed a power hitter which we needed more. I could have told you gaby sanchez was not going to be anything special this year. WE have needed another middle of the order run producer since we traded miguel cabrera.

Offensively we would have been much better off with a guy like fielder

If Hanley was performing like everyone thought he would you'd be singing a different tune but hindsight is 20/20.

hanley has nothing to do with what i think about reyes. he has been a pretty huge bust so far considering what we paid plus we didn't need another lead off hitter, we needed a power producer.

We aren't officially sellers yet. If we sweep the pirates we would be 3.5 out and even 2 out of 3 would only leave us 4.5 out of the w.c. Step back from the cliff and lets see what they can do this weekend. We just need to keep within 4 for when Stanton comes back

It's important to note how many teams we have ahead of us in the WC race. If we would be #2, then it would work like that.

I think the most telling stat is that the Marlins' run differential is -63. Bottom 5 in all of baseball.

Fielder wasn't coming here any more than CJ was coming here. They ended up exactly where they wanted to be. Some need to get over that. Just because we are Miami dosen't mean people are falling all over themself trying to get signed here.

Umm Dan Uggla was pretty good about bringing runners in when he was here.

The team can't be an all out seller and still save face. It will be addition by subtraction- H2R gone but a bat like Upton back. No way they make moves for strictly prospects who aren't ML ready

That's not happening. People should get over this.

Yes way. Can take off some salary for next year and get prospects back giving us more young pieces on top of more money to spend in free agency in the offseason.

And Risk Alienating your fans and seeing them disappear for good?

Erik- I said a bat like- I did not say only Upton.

You should know better of all people, and be able to read things through.

I'm bored so I am gonna just say--bro, what a diss.

See Marlins...your losing is tearing apart your fan base. YOU TEARING ME APART, MAHLINS.

That would be awful leadership from Beinfest and Loria then. You don't run your organization by what the fan base wants. You do what is best for the team.
