7/17 Post Game

Anibal Sanchez came in to the game with the lowest run support in the NL...Glad he finally got some support. Once he got the big lead he just attacked the strikezone & made the Cubs hit their way on. At one point he even threw 18 straight strikes-not sure if I've ever seen that many in a row.

That's nothing. Earlier this year, Bartolo Colon threw 38 in a row against the Angels.

Great performance from the offense. This is what we expected to see from it from the start. Only 5.5 out of it now, it's time to get on a roll.

Good win for Anibal tonight.

I have no idea ... that may be it.

Good pitching by anibal and the double play by Choate was huge.

Also nice to see some hitting for once.

Really don't know why Gaudin wasnt designated. Not like anyone would claim him.

Exactly, I agree 100%.

Yep. Good win in a series that had me a bit worried. The Cubbies dug themselves a deep hole at the start of the season, but have been playing some pretty good ball lately. And Wood had won his last 4 starts. Nice way to start out this series. Now just keep the momentum going. And that means hitting with RISP with something that at least resembles consistency.

Lee seems like he hasn't been tainted by the amazing coach job that Eduardo has done with this club hence he can actually get those rbi's with risp...LEE FOR HITTING COACH
