12:46pm: The Diamondbacks are not currently discussing a deal with the Cubs involving Upton and Garza, reports MLB.com's Steve Gilbert. It was only Olney's speculation in the first place.

He might be known as the other lefty in the Dan Haren trade, behind Tyler Skaggs, but that doesn’t mean Corbin won’t be a big league starter in the near future. His pure stuff may not grade out as well as Skaggs’, but it’s plenty good enough with a fastball in the low 90s, a very good changeup and a slider to give him three future above-average offerings. He’s a strike-thrower who keeps the ball down in the zone and generates groundouts. A part of the Double-A Mobile rotation that won a title in 2011, he got the callup to the Major League club in late April, but returned to Triple-A Reno in late May. He returned to the Majors for another three-week stint in late June.

Pretty sure that the only trades we'll make is like Carlos Lee to someone really random for a fringe player and maybe something with the Diamondbacks. Maybe Patrick Corbin for Nolasco.

It's really disappointing from an excitement standpoint when you think your team is going to be extremely active right before the deadline and it turns out the only Marlins news in past few hours have all been about how we're dying to get rid of Carlos Lee for anything.
