Is this just bad jersey luck or what?

I seem to have terrible luck when it comes to getting jerseys. Over the years, I have bought

Shaq jersey (two years later got traded)

Miguel Cabrera (two years later traded)

Andrew Miller t shirt

H2R (two years later traded)

Ricky Williams (retired a year later)

Jason Taylor (traded that year)

Zach Thomas (traded to Cowboys two years later)

Ronnie Brown

Chad Henne

Brandon Marshall

Daunte Culpepper

There's a few more, but I can't think of them currently.

Totally irrelevent thread, I just found this funny. Only shirts/jerseys I have ever bought in my life and those players are still on the team are LBJ and D-Wade. Every Marlins or Dolphins I have ever had left the team within two years of me buying their jerseys.

I don't see much of a coincidence at all in buying a player's jersey and seeing him traded 2 years later. In baseball in general lately it's pretty uncommon to see star players remain on a single team for their whole career.

Players don't necessarily move around every two years, but two years is still far too long to be considered bad luck.

That's why I would never buy an authentic player jersey. If I bought a Hanley jersey in 2009, I'd now be asking myself "I spent $300 dollars on that?"

I bet there's a TON of Cardinals fans who own Pujols jersey and have little desire to wear or even look at them now. The lesson to learn here is to never become too attached to individual players.

I have never payed full retail for a jersey even the new Marlins ones. I always wait for a sale and most I get on eBay for 30-50 dollars.

And no they aren't those fake dog sh*t looking scrubs before anyone asks.

Shaq jersey: He was a big part of the Heat's first championship. I have that one, and don't regret getting it for a second.

Miguel Cabrera: Big part of the 2003 championship, and will likely be a hall of famer. Also have it, and don't regret it.

Andrew Miller: Not a jersey

H2R: Could be worse

Jason Taylor: An all-time great dolphin, and will likely be in the hall of fame. Again, could be worse.

Zach Thomas: Another all-time great dolphin, and forever loved by Dolphin fans. Have one autographed. Only thing I regret about it is getting it autographed cuz now I can't wear it.

Ronnie Brown: Had a few good years, fans won't forget the Wild-Cat in 2008.

Chad Henne: Made that same mistake, wanna set that thing on fire.

Brandon Marshall: Could be worse

Daunte Culpepper: See Chad Henne.
