canada-marlin24
If the Marlins apparently tried to trade for Santana does anyone think they will try to unload Nolasco and go after Haren? He could come at a discount.

yokofox33
If we're going to spend money on pitching, I'd rather we just go for Anibal.
poptart
If we're going to spend money on pitching, I'd rather we just go for Anibal. Dombrowski said they were adamant about re-signing him. (aka we're not getting him)
FishFan88
Commentary is that since Haren is 2nd behind Sabathia in innings pitched among active players that the Cubs probably declined him for something in his medicals.
Jokersgoon
If we're looking at pitching (hypothetically) I wouldn't mind Haren for the right price. However, I'd be all for signing Shawn Marcum.

canada-marlin24
I truthfully cannot take another year of Ricky Nolasco so anything that gets rid of him is great. I would definitely look at a 1 year deal with an option for Haren.

97marlin
What happened to stock piling young talent. AKA trading Nolasco, and trying to get another young pitcher. like Banuelos, or Aaron Sanchez, or perhaps even Arodys Vizcaino.
yokofox33
Do people not understand Nolasco is untradeable? And even if we do find a team willing to take on that salary that the return will be very minimal in terms of talent? The "return" in a Nolasco trade would be not having to pay that salary.
