Its time like these I love going to the Mets message board

After sweeping the Yankees.. they get swept by the Marlins and they're pissed off about that on Twitter. Hilarious.

Olmos is gonna get rocked. He is andrew miller. Bad control and he isnt a loogy.

Kotchman is welcomed back though. I thought he was gonna have a solid year.

Should have brought up the guy they got in the Dodgers trade, Scott Mcgough.

Wonder if bringing up Olmos means Wittgren will be promoted to AA.

Really want to see that guy get some more time in Double A, but he has had a good start.

He's really put it together this year so far.

Not sure about Olmos having success in mlb though...

not sure what to think about olmos but it was time for leblanc to go.

olmos will probably only be up until eovaldi is ready then we move slowey to long relief.

It's a real shame I had to listen to the game on the radio instead of watching it on TV and sharing the moment with you all. I was on the road all afternoon running errands.

Congrats Fish!!! Awesome game for Ozuna and Cogz, and Lucas was pretty good too.

Olmos hasn't walked as many this year. (not that I expect him to do well, but yeah)

Also, not that I care about Jordan Brown, but why does the team continue to carry three catchers (one who kinda sucks and two who definitely suck)?

Cuz Olivo > Jordan Brown, at least in the eyes of this team and the FO. Still, u gotta believe this won't last much longer for olivo. When we get back Stanton Morrison, not to mention Yelich and even solano, there's just no room for olivo. Patience, and he'll be gone soon enough

Why is everyone so down on Olmos? Posted an ERA under 0.50 last year in Double-A and his ERA now is like 1.20...

BTW Jordan Brown is down and Kotchman is up.

I can't keep my eyes off of just how completely awful Olmos was in Jupiter in 2011. Hell, he didn't even start producing well until this season when they finally said "F it. You obviously aren't a starter. Let's try you out in the bullpen". Then, bam! 1.27 ERA.

I haven't watched him, but he seems to walk a lot of players, so maybe he's erratic. I don't feel like he'll be with the major league squad long.

Yea seems like a short term move between LeBlanc sucking and eovaldi nearing his return, unless he's brilliant up here he'll be gone quickly. The Jordan brown of pitchers lol

He has a high walk rate, a low strikeout rate and gives up a lot of hits. He also has an unsustainable high LOB% to go along with a mid 3s FIP. Here is a case where ERA does not tell the whole story and most likely he will be crushed against big league hitting.

To me this is just further evidence the Marlins FO has no clue about sabremetrics and looks at your traditional and unreliable stats (avg, rbi, era) to decide roster moves.

Every good outing by a Marlins pitcher will henceforth be attributed to Jeff Mathis.

and Olivo does smile a lot... where's that found in your fancy statz?
