8/6 Post Game

Wow do we know how to lose them.

It like even though we had a 3-0 lead its like fate that missing all those chances to score more means we are going to lose.

11 left on base.

We beat Cardinals 2-1 at home, lost 0-3 on the road.

We beat Pirates 2-1 at home, only fair we lose to them 0-3 on the road.

Now we're only 2 games away!

I go to watch Andrew Heaney's start, he gets shelled and the Suns break an 11-game winning streak by getting no-hit by the Smokies.

.... then I turn on the radio feed on the drive home & the Pirates walk off.

Everyone can go F themselves.

I think that we could be a really decent team next year if we can get a more consistent offense. Even if we some regression in our pitching, we could at least be a .500 team.

hell they're average right now even with this anemic offense, whatever record over the past two months. Need pop though. 11 hits and all but one are singles...

I would expect a little regression by some of the pitchers (unless they really are this good) so gotta make the difference at the plate.

1st homer allowed by Marlins pitching in 12 games

27-24 the rest of the way to top last years record by one, 26-25 to match it. Take that as u will, just looked it up out of my own curiosity.

I recall a single by Morrison early in the game that was 18" from being a home run and that 18" is the difference right there between a meh scoring night and a respectable scoring night for the offense.

The trade was a good one is what that says. There is room to grow with this team, even if it's frustrating.

I was at the game, PNC is a beautiful ballpark. Lots of opportunity, Dunn even came in and slammed the door. I can't say leaving him in is a bad call, I probably would have myself, but in retrospect it was.

Btw, anybody ever been to a baseball town like Pitt and worn a Marlins jersey? People REALLY don't think the marlins have ANY fans. Like, for serious. It was kind of funny.

Not really, but I've worn Marlins stuff to a rays yankees game before. Surprising large amount of Marlins and mets fans there...and of course the rest of thw stadium was yankees fans.

That's the beauty of Hindsight, everyone's vision is 20/20.

More like 10/200.

I go to Pittsburgh a few times a year for work. I have some pirates gear and when I've worn it there they were surprised the pirates had fans. This was before they were good :)I believe that, too. I was downtown all day, though, and saw nothing but Pirates gear everywhere. Their town is buzzing... Good for them I guess lol.
