Was not expecting much from Henderson Alvarez when that trade went down but he has been truly impressive. Great stuff and quick worker and throws strikes.

 

That trade looking back on it was straight murder by us. Only 2 of the guys we gave them are still on the team in Buehrle and Reyes and it looks like every single member of that trade will eventually make the big leagues in some capacity with us.

Now I'm really concerned about Braves series.

Don't be concerned about braves series, they usually play well over there. Plus no medlen or minor so I like that. It's not we are going to play the stupid nationals.

I have figured it out. With the exception of the batting helmets, the Marlins have attempted to mirror the uniform matching scheme of the Rangers which I had previously mentioned the Marlins should do when the teams are at home.

 

Rangers wear white with blue hat Monday - Thursday at home; White with red hat Friday at home; Red jersey and red hat Saturday at home.

Same with Hech, to be honest. Lost count on how many lineouts to center or right he had. Finally smoked one off the wall today oppo, was nice to see.

I don't care what anyone says about Alvarez, since the day we made that trade I have been excited. When he fails at least it's because he throws too many strikes. He's a great #3 starter, usually gives you a chance to win and always keeps the pitch count low to throw deep into games. What else can you ask for? All he needs is a solid D and he gets it done most of the time.
