May 7, 201412 yr Henderson is working his way to becoming one of the better young pitchers in baseball. Thinking about our future rotation gives me chills. 1. Jose- Arguably the best pitcher in the world right now. 2. Eovaldi- One of the best fastballs in baseball, great young arm. 3. Alvarez- Great young groundball pitcher who has already notched a no hitter. 4. Heaney- Great young lefty who is a top 20 MLB prospect right now. 5. Rodon/Kolek- Rodon, the best pitching prospect since Strausburg or Kolek who is touching 100 mph as a high school senior.
May 7, 201412 yr This road trip will be a real test. If we can continue to succeed there, then things can get interesting.
May 7, 201412 yr I get more excited replacing eovaldi as our #2 and potentially have him be a 4th. Next season and in 2016 this rotation should be dynomite!
May 7, 201412 yr Always a fan of the quick win. Alvarez very solid. Still worried about going on the road though. We have normally played well on the west coast against teams like the Giants and Dodgers so lets hope they close out the road games. Blown about 3-4 already.
May 7, 201412 yr Yeah. This is going to be an interesting road trip. They need to do better. at 3 games over .500 ^^^ This is what is still keeping me cautiously optimistic
May 7, 201412 yr So, if we win tomorrow, and win the series against the padres, we will have the same starting record as 1997. Coincidence? I THINK NOT! Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
May 7, 201412 yr No tv on mlb.tv as well? I listened to this game while doing stuff. Damn, went by quick. 18-15.
May 7, 201412 yr That's how they draw it up. Glenn Geffner @GlennGeffner 10m The 4 #Marlins starters who've been in the rotation all season (Fernandez, Eovaldi, Alvarez & Koehler) are 11-6 with a 2.38 ERA in 27 starts and yes tomorrow the salad will not be televised. also Heaney tonight 6 IP 3 h, 1r.
May 7, 201412 yr Phillies lost (creates space between us and last), and natitude down 8-3 in the bottom of the ninth (to tie for second place)
May 7, 201412 yr Interesting dilemma -- Turner been struggling as of late, Heaney been doing fine in the minors. Do you do it?
May 7, 201412 yr Turner is still young. Gotta see if he's the real deal or yet another Dombrowski turd left on Loria's doorstep. Don't start Heaney's service time.
May 7, 201412 yr I would only call up Heaney if we hit the ASB and there's a real chance of making the playoffs. Then you start looking to add
