Kevin Gregg returns

Featured Replies

Gregg had lower zone %s on 2011, 12 and 13. He better never make it back to the majors.

Come on, we're the Marlins. He'll be up in a week and pitching the 8th inning.

Kevin Gregg allowed four runs in what I believe is his first appearance in Jupiter, which for those who don't know is A+ ball.

He did not record an out.

Which trade is worse: Loria trading away a draft pick to free up cash to sign Kevin Gregg? Or Obama trading away five Taliban militants for a US Army deserter who wanted to leave the country anyway?

trading for Ron Villone

Ohh...that's a toughy...

Sounds like politics- I'm staying the fuck away from this one.

You win this time penguin boy

Villone had his good moments. He was a Trader Jack favorite. Because he was "tough" and a "warrior" -- which he was, but just not good enough. Age exacts a high toll on MLB players.

I wonder if Gregg is such a mess that he never gets called up. And the whole idea dies on the vine with Gregg being paid about 10K of minor league salary for failure.

We can hope.

Naw, he'll start getting a few outs, it'll be excused as getting rid of the rust, and he'll come up, Steve will have some injury, and Gregg will take over the 9th, so he can have rematch with bell in the most hated marlins contest.

Either way they still traded away the 39th pick for salary relief which is inexcusable.

Inexcusable?

It's all speculation. They do what they do for reasons that we don't know. May or may not have been a mistake, but it's certainly excusable.

Of course you would think that giving up a draft slot for the sole reason of saving money is excusable.

I thought we gave up the pick for Bryan Morris? :p
