July 31, 201412 yr I soured a bit on Heaney, and it wasnt even the performance. I just had never realized he was such a finesse guy. I don't know why you would sour on him just because you didn't know what his game was like. He's been like that the entire time. He has 3 plus pitches and is a mid rotation guy at worst. He is a quality trade chip if we choose to use him like that

July 31, 201412 yr Stupid team. Sell. really the focus on being a buyer is ruining what is probably the best opportunity to move Cishek for a decent haul. I don't know if he'll ever be a better trade piece than right now. He's done it long enough to show teams he's not a fluke, a contender can use him for just a stretch run rental or keep him another season... It would suck to lose him but there may not be a better time to do this. Actually you could move Cishek/Dunn for infield help and still go get a back rotation starter like Miley or Cosart if you want. Then maybe the rotation can hold up better for 2015 until Jose returns.

July 31, 201412 yr I've got such mixed emotions now. An hour left and nothing. Either we do nothing and I feel disappointed that we did nothing to improve. Or we'll pull some stupid last minute mistake of a trade and I'll feel disappointed that we made a trade just for the sake of making a trade. At this point it feels like there's no middle ground and we won't make any trade unless it's a bad one.
