For the love of god can you please stop trotting out the single worst major leaguer to never be challenged for a starting job ever in Hechavarria. I understand you think he is some sort of defensive wizard but he could be Ozzie Smith and he shouldn't be able to perform like this offensively for two straight years having never proven anything and never get taken out of the lineup or sent to the minors. Also on top of you and your team of cheapskates conning the city of Miami out of money, whether you know it or not your ticket office also conned me out of money. I went to a Mets game a month or two back and I asked for the cheapest tickets there and I was told that outfield porch was sold out and I was told the cheapest ticket there was the $29 infield box or something close to that. I proceeded to enter the game and see 7 people in the upper deck because no one else wants to see the crap product you put out on the field. Curse my father for making me a Marlins fan as a child.

 

If you're gonna be cheap for so long you would think you would at least be good at it at this point.

Tell Loria I said we all hate him and no one wants him in this city let alone as the owner. GAME TYING TRIPLE MAKES YOUR POINT MOO

Seriously though, I wrote to Samson when we acquired Yunel Escobar and told him I would have a hard time rooting for a team that employs an obvious bigot. He responded saying they had talked to him and he had realized it was a mistake and that he would ultimately be a good fit for the team. Obviously, he never put on a Marlins jersey so it didn't matter, but the point is as much as we can whine about Samson and his people, they do respond to their fans if you write things appropriately and make valid points. Your email doesn't add anything to Samson's day and really doesn't say much despite all of the words. If you want people to listen, you have to actually say something worth listening to.

I was more emailing to let him know his sales staff lied to me one night and my hechavarria hate just seemed to spew out.

 

I also wanted to let him know that Loria's decision to ban him from going on his weekly lebatard show was stupid for a franchise in desperate need of a little publicity throughout the course of the season. Even if he did talk mostly about movies.

So i was charged $30 per ticket instead of what i think is $12 for those upper deck tickets where i would have proceeded to sit in the infield box anyway because i do what i want.

 

I want to think its a simple mistake but i also want to think that it could be they are told to sell more expensive tickets maybe to make up for the fact that nobody attends the games and the team wants to make a little more money.

I still do it occasionally. Saves some of the hassle of the other routes especially if it was a last minute decision to attend the game. Also, ive had a couple enjoyable box office experiences where i felt lucky to get the employee I got. What happened to song sucks but that's not every employee or every occasion .

If you think he is shitty defensively you must not watch the games. You can hate on his offense all you want and I won't argue with you. I'm not satisfied with his bat but I'm hoping he will continue to improve at the plate. However, his defense not being good is just a bunch of garbage.

Your not alone- I've gone twice to buy tickets at the box office with the subway deal- both weekday games.

 

Denied both times with a "sold out" - I went across the street and bought from scalpers for $5 bucks.

 

Pay the $15 to park- and you get the "sold out " line in a half empty stadium.

 

Bleep you box office. Luckily there's always someone near by trying to make a buck . Each time I was offered seats for 40 something in the lower bowl. Fuck you box office- if I want $5 seats I don't want $40 ones.

Agree on Samson, he's a nice guy. He was pretty cool when I hung out with him at the Trivia event last year. We were both decently drunk due to the open bar and we had a nice convo.

I like Dietrich- but he's not the answer.

 

No one on our system is close enough to be worth trying either.

 

For now I'll take good defense and an out every time at bat than an out 3/4 times and an error when we can least afford it
