Post Game 8/15

I wish we had a young prodigy right now like the Cubs w/ Baez

We had close to a prodigy in Moran. Still hate that trade.

He should end up as a productive ballplayer, but he isn't in the same universe as the guys the Cubs have.

Brantly staying in the minors for a full season will greatly benefit him. I still have faith in him. He was rushed in the starting role too soon, just as most Marlins are.

Why thats crispin glover, resident douchebag.

Brantly's .635 PCL OPS pretty much guarantees what most of us know, he sucks. Donbrowski wins again.

Brantly is bad. Flynn is bad. Turner is bad.

Infante used to not be bad (I dunno what's going on this year) and Anibal is coming off a Cy Young caliber season. Simple to say we got hosed in that deal.

As for the game it sucks, especially since Hand did a great job going 7 innings and managing to keep the team in the game after that bad start. But it's a four game series, so if we can win the next two we're in good position as we look to close out the homestand.

No worries. This team is in a hell of a lot better shape than it deserves to be going into mid August, especially with how the season has gone about.

Got Cosart healthy, Eovaldi despite his last start seems to be figuring things out, Alvarez is healthy again, Hand has given us good starts minus that one game, Koehler continues to be Koehler. Whatever the stats say the starting pitching has kept us in games this year (and the bullpen has pretty shockingly become a strength). It's time for the offense to step their game up going into the home stretch or this team will without a doubt be watching playoff games at home for the eleventh straight year.

The double plays sucked but this is still a "can't win em all, just go get em tomorrow" game... We're still in decent shape. At least split the last two and hopefully take care of business against Texas and Colorado.

Short term memory guys. We have been doing well and Alvarez is pitching tomorrow we got this.

Blame casey and salty on today....especially the double play in the first.

I'll disagree with the first inning. At least we scored two that inning. It's when the double plays came in innings where we couldn't even score one that really hurt.

Salty is a safe person to blame for a lot of stuff.

Win the next two, and we're back to .500. But those double-plays are gonna give me nightmares tonight.

Get back to .500. Easier said than done... :-(

At least there's no way we're getting another 100 loss season disaster. Could be worse.

I don't think you are retarded, so is this a joke?

Oh my, how people quickly forget that Anibal and Infante were free agents at the end of a dismal season.

And just before an offseason we blew up the team.

No? Dude will be a plus WAR player, guaranteed. Like I said, not quite a prodigy but not far off.

I doubt he makes it past AAA and sticks- I see him like Dallas McPherson, Zach Cox. A good player with potential that never reaches it.

That doesnt mean you can strike out that bad against that same tigers team again. We got nothing out of a deal where we traded a top of the rotation arm and a quality second baseman, no matter if they were free agents.
