canada-marlin24
Thank you Nathan Eovaldi for doing exactly what you have been asked not to do for like 2 months now. Pitiful performance to add on to the 6 of his last 11 starts where he has given up 4 or more earned runs. Back under .500 and 4 out i.e. no progress. enterthemadness
B-B-B-But there was a rally. 2 runs, 2 out runs scored in the 9th. Progress.
SongInTheAir
Not that Eovaldi helped at all, but I can't imagine Redmond really planned on winning this game with that "Week 4 of the Preseason" lineup.
Piazza31
FUCK THIS FUCKING GAME. TOMORROW IS ANOTHER GAME AND WE'LL MAKE THAT GAME OUR BITCH. WE WILL FUCK THEIR FACE!
Edmeister
Funny how we can tell when our pitcher is going to have a bad outing just based on the first batter he faces. I wonder if anything will be done in regards to Nathan. He's clearly out of it. But do we have any other options?

JackRubysDog
On a lighter note, I am hoping the Angels call up Randy Wolf, so that the announcers announce "Wolf, Trout and Pujols are coming to the plate", which is another way of saying a McDonalds burger is being served. JackRubysDog
Us Brits get it, because we can't say "Pujols" without sniggering.
Piazza31
Us Brits get it, because we can't say "Pujols" without sniggering. What's sniggering, and would I get beaten senseless if I say it to Dennis Rodman?

Michael
Can I ask what lineup you would have put out there last night? LF Yelich 1B Baker RF Stanton CF Ozuna 3B McGehee DH Jones C Salty SS Hechavarria 2B Solano I mean it kinda makes sense!
SongInTheAir
Can I ask what lineup you would have put out there last night? No Valdespin, no Solano. Never Valdespin, Solano only off the bench. Also, I'd stop making the #2 spot the "fuck it, let's see what works" spot, considering it's one of the more important parts of the batting order. So basically, Baker instead of Valdespin? Are we really blaming Redmond for replacing shit with shit?

pollythewog
So basically, Baker instead of Valdespin? Are we really blaming Redmond for replacing shit with shit? Seriously, it's not Redmond's fault DD, who would make the perfect DH, is sitting in AAA. Redmond is using what he has which for the most part sucks. Michael
So basically, Baker instead of Valdespin? Are we really blaming Redmond for replacing shit with shit? I'd rather have the fresh turd than the one that's been sitting there for a while, ya know? Fresh turd still has potency. And I also put Baker at first cause he's probably a better first baseman than Jones.
canada-marlin24
I cannot remember the last time Eovaldi struck out a righty inside. He pitches them almost exclusively outside and you wonder if he and the catcher are either stupid or just fucking stubborn.

SongInTheAir
Eovaldi's location is certainly important, but key here is the fact that his fastball has gone flat. A flat, motionless fastball will be hit hard by Major League hitters, even if it goes 110. Granted, the faster a fastball is the less movement and precise location it needs to be effectve, but you still can't throw a dart every pitch, even if you locate it. Guest Vince0926
Everyone you guys need to look at the big picture. September 1, eovaldi is scheduled to pitch against wheeler. I dont want eovaldi starting us off the last month of the season with a guy like wheeler pitching.
