Michael
Joe Frisaro ✔ @JoeFrisaro at this point, all I can report about #Marlins mystery starter to be acquired today is he's a right-hander 1 yr from free agency. So, who's got one year left on their contract? >_>

CYmarlins
If the Marlins are adding the starting pitcher through trade like Frisario says, then that might mean that their 1st base option would be through FA. Possible Mike Morse?
jsprt14
Clay Buchholz maybe?
jsprt14
Could be any of those Reds SPs....Cueto, Latos, Leake

CYmarlins
The fact that they are remaining quiet about it only tells me it's obviously James Shields. Especially after what Hill said. Its going to be a BIG NAME pitcher. Cueto would be big. Although if it turns out to be him, they are better off trying to see if they can extend him. jsprt14
Could you imagine what Cueto would cost the Marlins in a trade though? I mean litteraly, i can't imagine we even have enough.
Entendu
Guessing is fun. If it's a year left then it might actually be a big name.

CYmarlins
Cueto's contract next year is $10 million dollars. Marlins have $10 million dollars to spend. Reds are trying to get under their salary cap. What would it cost in trade? Good question. I would guess just more pitchers.
