October 7, 201510 yr Its Loria we are dealing with, he literally did a 180 on this whole thing why anyone is actually surprised is beyond me.
October 7, 201510 yr I knew the sweeping changes stuff was complete bullshit. to be fair, it was true until Loria changed his mind which is always a possibility
October 7, 201510 yr to be fair, it was true until Loria changed his mind which is always a possibility What does this mean? Loria was actually planning on firing both Hill and Jennings? And replacing them with people from outside of the organization? The internal choices are already polluted by the Marlins way.
October 7, 201510 yr No one, because they aren't moving them back. Fine, I'll tell Samson myself. It's fine the way it is.
October 7, 201510 yr You all voted for the fences to be moved in and Ichiro to be signed by majority if I remember right when I asked a couple months ago I did not vote that way, I can assure you of that.
October 7, 201510 yr I did not vote that way, I can assure you of that. it was majority not unanimous
October 7, 201510 yr And in August, the plan was to change the entire front office basically. Loria'd wtf is wrong with this guy and why does he consistently make the wrong decision
October 7, 201510 yr wtf is wrong with this guy and why does he consistently make the wrong decision He has to be bi-polar
October 7, 201510 yr it was majority not unanimous Understood. Still don't see the point in it. It's not going to be "fair" like they claim.
October 7, 201510 yr Well to be fair to Loria he's probably seeing how good the team performed the last part of the season, and add in the injuries the team had throughout the season including during that run in the last part of the season and saying, "this team has some potential". So at least there is some logic there. And I like a lot of the talent on this team. But I don't like the FO, I don't like the depth in the organization, I don't like the prospects, don't know what the managerial position will look like come spring training, don't like the managerial hiring process at all, really don't like the ownership. I just have a hard time seeing this team doing anything good under this ownership, no matter how much talent they have on the roster.
October 7, 201510 yr I like the talent on the team but even with the very good September the front office needs updating. The good September said "don't trade away the main players" but it didn't say "keep the same front office." If the latter is what Loria took from this September then we have a problem.
October 7, 201510 yr Try following a legit good team (I hopped on the Astros bandwagon this year) and baseball is actually enjoyable to follow. Being a Marlins fan is a nuisance, just reading bad news, trying to put a positive spin on it, and waiting for the day it'll "get better" Well to be fair to Loria he's probably seeing how good the team performed the last part of the season, and add in the injuries the team had throughout the season including during that run in the last part of the season and saying, "this team has some potential". Being a Marlins fan is a nuisance, just reading bad news, trying to put a positive spin on it, and waiting for the day it'll "get better" I'd like to put a counterpoint on this. Maybe I enjoy the torture but loyalty is important to me too. I'm following the Blue Jays and Royals this postseason and I'm keeping an eye on the Astros as well... But I've been following the Marlins since 1993 and I can't just jump ship to whatever team is currently successful. I'll take the lows with the highs because I actually enjoy being a Marlins fan through good and bad regardless of how much they hurt me sometimes. I don't think I'm alone on this.

Being a Marlins fan is a nuisance, just reading bad news, trying to put a positive spin on it, and waiting for the day it'll "get better" Yeah, I just can't do it. lol I get what you're saying, but I just continue to follow the team and hope for a better day. It's just my way.

He only gives a fuck about the majors (I guess) and yes the fact the marlins didnt play like total trash down the stretch probably saved Hill and Jennings jobs. Not that it should have mattered by and large, since there was so much pressure on the team down the stretch. Playing well down the stretch may have been the worst thing for the long term health of this franchise, tbh.
