Pudge is about to sign with.........

Featured Replies

oh well,

good for him

good for them

good for us.

Bring Me Vlad!

So the Tribune company is opening their pockets.....

Overpaying and it will haunt them particularly in years 3 and 4.

But whatever they want to do...whatever.....I guess if they cant beat the best they just have to try and take the players that beat them.

I guess this means Damian Miller is now a backup for about 20 games a year or until Pudge gets hurt.

The deal will be completed this weekend at the winter meetings, BUT the O's /Dodgers could make a last run. I do think he'll get that contract he wants.

That's $10-11 Million that will hold them back in a few years.

Good for them. :lol

How can you be so sure?

sure it is a gamble and risky, but it may be huge for them. They will be a lot better team on 2004 for sure, with huge upgrades on 1B and C.

In 2004, yes. But Pudges contract will hold them back as he deteriorates in '06-'07.

out of all the teams, i cant believe this. The cubs mean business but they're stupid for signing him $10-11 mil a year.

now watch pudge get hurt, lee be his usual overrated self and the cubs go down in flames like always and do like most overspending teams end up doing, rebuilding.

lol, exactly Das. Maybe they'd like to take Encarnacion too? Geez.

Alfonseca, Clement, Lowell, Lee, Pudge, Castillo, is there any Marlin the Cubs don't want? Good thing we already signed Mordecai!

Too bad they can't win with their own players...

I knew pudge wanted to go there. The cubs need a catcher, thats a little weak spot they have (the Catchers position). With Pudge's bat they really have a chance to compete again.

Just Bring us Javy Lopez or Vlad and i will forget about pudge!

Cubs GM showing why he is an idiot once again...

Trading for Derreck when he already had Simon.

Signing a 32 year old Catcher who has a history of injuries to a multi year deal.Pudge didn't exactly light it up during the regular season.

When the playoffs came around is when Pudge finally woke up and said "Need to audition for next year to get that last fat contract before i retire"...i bet he wouldnt have had such a good postseason if he already had a multi-year contract under his belts.

If it is true, my boyfriend will be happy. He's always wanted Pudge to go to the Cubs.

Thats what i like about Beinfest...he doesnt give multi-year contracts that easy so that the players have an extra incentive to better themselves and play better.

Whatever. Let them come here and troll!! The guys here (esp. Juanky,KJC,Admin,Das,and marlins02) know how dangerous I get with my flip flops!

*ducks from incoming chancletas*

Screw Gredo

Screw the Flubs

Im calling BS on your prediction edcanes i do not think he will sign with the cubs and anyone can toss around predictions . he will end up with the orioles and the cubs will not dish out that money to sign him
