Admin
The free-agent pitchers who could be in the mix to sign with Miami are lefty Scott Kazmirand right-handers Aaron Harang, Doug Fister, Kyle Kendrick, Colby Lewis and Tim Lincecum. I am only posting this cause Scoop said it which makes it very valid and informative

pollythewog
I honestly didn't see Harang mentioned anywhere until you said it and now Scoop did. HI JOE Harang is the epitome of what the marlins like in a FA pitcher (aka pure shit) so it makes sense

JackRubysDog
Top 2 player Apparently Samson now thinks that Dee Gordon is so good he's a top twenty player in the NFL too.
JackRubysDog
Mention of the Mathis-Gordon trade made me think "whatever happened to Josh Johnson?" So I looked it up. I am very sad now.
J'Daniel
why spend money on one really good player when you can get 3 pieces of shit for the same price? i think they do this just so they have more pieces to package with their picks. the ultimate goal is to create a trade scenario where other teams are paying 100% of the Marlins salaries. pollythewog
Scoop also says the Marlins are interested in retaining Mathis. Hopefully to clean the restrooms. I'm 99.9% sure the marlins are the only team in baseball who would sign Jeff Mathis
Admin
Only reason Mathis may be back is the pitching staff likes him but we'll see. They like Telis and believe he's ready.
Admin
All of those names are super predictable. Absolutely Marlins type signings.

SongInTheAir
Holy shit, Harang and Kendrick? Those guys are innings-eaters for a rebuilding team so that guys with awesome Cy Young futures like Jose Urena and Justin Nicolino don't throw too many innings. SongInTheAir
just because the pitching staff likes him doesnt make him a good player Yeah, I mean if the Marlins signed Lance Berkman, he probably likes Hitler. Does that mean we should also sign Hitler?

SilverBullet
Jokes aside, does this at least mean Loria is willing to spend money on pitching upgrades? I'm asking because a few weeks ago it just seemed like Loria would only spend on Cespedes and zero on the pitching needs. Of course junk like Harang wouldn't cut it but if we're at least looking at guys like Kazmir maybe there's a chance we get something decent there. pollythewog
sign them all and make them our starting 5. Nary a fastball over 90mph in that crew. would be awesome. Aaron Harang, Doug Fister, Kyle Kendrick, Colby Lewis and Tim Lincecum.
