Everyone wants to bitch about the BP but our starting pitching has been a big disappointment so far. Fernandez and Chen especially have to give u at least 6 innings.

If by confidence you mean pitch count, then yes, he boosted it.

 

 

Maybe its too late to ask this but considering its been six days between Jose's first and second starts, couldn't they have easily given Jose the Opening Day start and then, with the off day last Friday, just move someone up and give Jose an extra day or two off and then they'd still give him the "extra days between starts throughout the season" while still letting him be the Opening Day starter? By just giving him the Opening Day game and then just moving him to wherever the #2 starter would be scheduled, they could have done both goals?

 

 

This world class offense needs to do something and pick up Jose.
