There's a lot of variables that go into that. Velo, pitch selection, being able to get into a rhythm. I understand it takes time, but his issue isn't that he had surgery. The issue is that he's rushing and not letting his body travel. Could it be rust from the TJ? Ok, I could see it. But there's a fundamental reason a majority of his pitches are arm side and up

 

 

I know he's not a *pitch to contact* guy, but with his command like this he's gonna last 5 innings every game at best.  I mean maybe that's fine though... if he's healthy & gradually getting better....    ?
