Jose Ureña down, Cody Hall up.

I weep for Ellington.

He'll be up when he shows he is ready. He hasn't done that yet. (Neither has Hall, but you know...Marlins)

Not really sure what is going on here with calling up Hall. But, if Urena can figure out his control, which has been better, he will be solid but he is making too many mistakes at the moment.

Hall cries out suck. Nothing about this guy gives you the slightest chance of thinking he can succeed at the major league level.

A Marlins thing slumming through the neighborhood trash.

If the Marlins are going to be that OWTF about the whole thing, would rather they just call up Tyler Bremer of the Suns and see what he's got.

It's not that he's wild, which I doubt is what you mean. Its that too many of his pitches end up in the happy zone with little to no movement waiting to be creamed. The pitch to Polanco that left the yard was but one of many examples.

I was just looking at Bremer's stats this morning actually - I'd forgotten we got him back in the Jacob Turner dump.  Not sure why he's gone so slowly through the minors.  Outside of 5 HR in a 9 IP stint in AAA last year he's been fine.

Nothing about Hall says anything great BUT it sends Urena down and gets us out of that problem of Urena pitching meaningful innings. I also don't think Mattingly is gonna be using Hall in meaningful innings anytime soon so this move is a good one. If anything that troublesome sixth inning now belongs to some combination of Barraclough and Wittgren.
