Then you can shorten the game by only needing a solid 5-6 innings out of the starters and shut it down with Phelps/Ramos/Chapman. If you get in trouble earlier you can bring out Barraclough/Dunn/Ellington as match ups dictate. Another selling point is the future of the bullpen would be as good as it gets with Capps coming back if you can retain Chapman.

Fernandez pitching Tuesdays though. Worse case we split lol. Definitely could use another starter to really go on a tear. Pirates were 1-9 going in their game today. They were probably confident in the rotation for the Colorado series that needed to set it right with the ACE against Atlanta. Plus he gets Sunday against cubs

First time I've ever had seats so close to the field, the only bad thing was that the 1st base side of the park is the Energy Teams base of operations, so they were all up in my face the whole time. Something you guys may not have known was that on the first pitch to Dietrich, the one he fouled off, was hit on a line drive to a little girl. She was carried out by EMS so I pray she is okay. Now I'm waiting for someone who will tell me I can't get away from it that easily and start hurling insults at me. I feel we are in much better shape this time around. Team is smelling blood. Love how the bullpen is stepping it up.
June 20, 201610 yr Good thing about this run is that we have been able to do it without great pitching besides of Fernandez and maybe Conley. Hopefully Chen and Koehler can get it together and with the offense we have, we should be able to make a run to the wildcard
