August 21, 201610 yr Two scouts on Gomez from the Dallas Morning News article on his signing: "One said Gomez probably will hit for power but will offset that by "messing up at least one thing per game." The other said Gomez's play, particularly his decreased speed, raised the question of whether he is having hip problems. A hip condition scuttled a trade to the New York Mets last season."

August 21, 201610 yr Some pitchers have gotten better this year. And Benedict's efforts will be a long term thing. Lets revisit this in 3 or 4 years and see if he changed anything.
August 21, 201610 yr Benedict is overrated around here. I mean it's all from Pittsburgh really right? I don't know of anything in particular he's done here, those stories don't seem to get told until the offseason for some reason.
