@canada-marlin24 Koehler has been known to get offended by fan criticism on Twitter.  Hutton was allegedly fired because players and/or spouses complained he was negative. Penguino decided it was TK that was one of those players. There is zero evidence to that.

While there is no confirmed evidence that TK was one of the players that got Hutton fired, I completely agree with him that he probably was on the punks complaining. I have no problem saying that. His whining on Twitter doesn't disprove it either.

TK liked and commented on my Don Cattingly post a few weeks ago and I stood behind his wife in the popcorn line 11 days ago, so he's now a friend of mine...

 I thought more of you liked him when a similar thread started a few games into the season though?  Anyway, he's annoying as hell and Rich can't stand him.  I'd consider the offseason a win if they got Tommy back in the booth until he decides to retire on his own terms.  It's pretty telling though that nearly all of us except one stick-in-the-mud still pine for Tommy to return a year+ since his last broadcast.

 

 

Today was the first time I actually noticed Hollandsworth needing some work. Did anyone notice how long and rambling he did the "things you need to know " about RA Dickey?

 

There's 3 things listed on the screen and he rambles and rambles and it takes the entire at bat and he has to rush to get through it.

 

He needs to learn to talk in shorter snippets and be consice. There's times to have extended verbiage but there's also times to hit bullet points and move on. Of course that comes with experience but this was the first time I really wanted to grab his mic and shut him up.

Leiter was indeed atrocious and by far the worst from last years rotation.  By the end of the year I actually liked Preston better than Al because as Squall said, he didn't bother learning about anyone on the team. His knowledge of the team was about the same as a fan for some other NL East team that sees the Marlins throughout the year. 

 

The wife and I noticed that ever since the Seattle series it seems like Todd has been snorting lines between innings because he just goes on these long almost auctioneer-like diatribes about nothing.  Apparently though he chugs red bulls so that is likely the culprit.  Anyway, he's annoying as hell.  I'd take Tommy back even for only half the games and have the rest of the time split with whomever.  I really miss that man.

Yeah he needs to tone it down sometimes. If he changed his tone I think he'd be decent. 

 

 

Leiter would probably be better if he actually was with the team (or any team) an entire season... or at least an entire spring training to start off. He had too many questions last year that were obviously from someone who didn't follow the club. Mid-season he was calling some nice catch that Stanton made and he said "How tall is Stanton?" It's a simple, honest question... but it absolutely sounds like when you invite a friend who isn't a fan to the game and they sit next to you all game asking question after question just to understand what's going on.
