May 9, 20179 yr If I can be the glass half full guy here, they didn't need to demote Conley. They could have left him to struggle out there all season long. Glad they trying to fix him.
May 9, 20179 yr What would be the point of keeping him in the big leagues? He was agreeing that it was the right thing to do in sending him to the minors.
May 9, 20179 yr I know sir but he said they didn't have to do it. What would be the reason not to? I was simply looking for any pros. It seems like a no brainer decision to me. They're short on starters.

I meant that since this team is flailing and there isn't much starter depth anyways they could have easily let him stay up and work out his problems with the big league team. There wasn't an urgency to demote him as far the main club is concerned because it's not like we're contending and his losses were costing us first place or something. Plenty of bad teams let guys stay up because the losses up here are relatively insignificant. I'm glad he was demoted but I wasn't so convinced they'd do it, or at least do it this soon.

May 10, 20179 yr what they should have done from the beginning but well who would have ever thought of that certainly not us! Hell, Phelps' performance as a starter in 2016 would make him the ace of this sad rotation. Which isn't saying much, but w/e.
