Blow The Whole Thing Up

i still don't remember where i said it was offensive. all i did is answer your inquiry

If you read the boycott thread, a bunch of people thought I was overreacting and ranting. DTrain is basically doing the same thing in this thread. Everybody hates this team. It's rock bottom for this franchise. I would rather watch the '98 team.

is this website always so confrontational? seemed like a cool bunch at first glance but now wondering what i got myself into here

There's a few douchebags around here but Erick isn't one of them. He's a good poster. But a lot of us, including him, will maintain a good debate if we truly believe in it. The trick is knowing what's confrontational and what's just "a good argument". If you believe in your words here keep at it and you'll be fine here. We're a little crazy but we're a great and passionate place.
Oh got ya. so you weren't directing at me. my bad confused cause you had quoted me. ok i think we're cool again

Yes, sorry. Don't let me chase you away; you seem like a level-headed fan (probably more level-headed than me at this point). Post more.

I think, despite disagreements, we all agree on one thing; we all hate the majority of this team.

thx for the info, i signed up a few days ago to read stuff here before jumping in to post

To be honest what we need more of is consistent posters with solid opinions who welcome conversation and debate. Stick around, we'd love to have you.

Take a page from the book of Vince?

1)Keep Ozuna, keep Yelich, keep Dee, keep Realmuto                                  2)Trade Stanton, trade Chen, trade Prado. We need change

get receive a bag of subway cookies for Chen and Prado? Because if you don't trade Ozuna you ain't getting back, especially for crap like Chen and prado. Keep Dee? COL!

I think we should keep Yelich at the very least because of his team friendly contract. I love Dee Gordon, but he needs to have a higher OBP. I like Realmuto as a hitter, but as a fielder, he makes me mad at times. Stanton has been more consistent this year imo, but that contract scares the hell outta me. Lastly, as much as I love Ozuna, we could get a lot of him right now. Everyone else should definitely be on the trade block though.

Well basically we're all stuck watching what is currently in place. Especially since the sale is currently still moving forward with no idea when new owners will take over. Most likely not till very end of season. Let's face it everyone. We are who we thought we are. A .500 club at a best case scenario. Not necessarily a terrible thing.Could always be worse. Though a currently below.500 or even a hopeful .500 team is not what we'd all like to see either.

Major issues are starting pitching which we knew from spring training could and would be a problem bc this staff was going to have to pitch out of their minds to keep us above .500 all yr. Obviously that was not and has not happened. They're all inconsistent at best.Volquez has been consistent but consistently bad. Conley is a mess, and Chen has been box of chocolates. Never know which one were gonna get.

As for rest of line up, we go as Dee Gordon goes.. every team needs a catalyst at top of order. Remember JP in 2003? He and Castillo were so important to Cabrera,Lowell,Lee and Pudge. It made all difference in the world when top of order clicking with speed. Dee has speed and everything you want but can't do it consistently. I know JT has been up there lately and that's bc Mattingly trying to get offense going and trying everything.Don't get me wrong Stanton,Yelich,Ozuna are all imperative to the teams success and imidiate future and Realmutto also. Catcher is such a weak position throughout MLB aside from the top. 6 or 7 Posey,Perez,Molina,Sanchez,and our JT, etc etc.We all know since C.J and Pudge catcher has been black hole.  Salty... lol no thanks. They must keep JT. Anyway bullpen pieces can move except Bearclaw as we need him for next closer  and would like to see Rojas as everyday SS sooner than later when he returns. So Hech could bring decent return in a packge deal. Defensively one of the best in the game. Too bad the minor league system has lost Naylor and Castillo amongst others the past couple of years for essentially a bag of potato chips.Live and learn Mr. Hill if new ownership doesn't make a change. Just hard to not be dissapointed by both those trades now in hindsight. We have nice young pieces to build around still but .. clock is ticking and resources to gain front line SP unfortunately were dealt for number 3 and 4 starters respectively and dissapointedly for some who were not only rentals but rentals who failed miserably. Bottom line we have some nice trade chips and unfortunately one major piece of outfield will have to moved for front line SP.

Bullpen pieces,Dee,Hech pieces for more SP.Hopeful something can be accomplished without  giving up all our major cornerstones of franchise for once.

We are a .500 team? News to me....that seems like a best case scenario for this season.

Well not at this exact moment, that's not what I meant. However if the bullpen operates like it was supposed to we would be hovering right around it right now and yes you are right it is and will be a best case scenario going forward.

If the Marlins don't win before Wednesday's day game (I know, huge if), I'm going to the game on Wednesday and wearing a brown paper bag over my head.

I've been a diehard Marlins fan for 20 years.   I will continue to be a diehard fan.

But I'm having a hard time recalling a more unenjoyable one month span in Marlins history.

The 1998 team felt like lightning in a bottle compared to this.

tell ture  team it been hard watch team lose after lose i want keep watching marlins but hard to do when same story  topic blow team that wont happen but few in bullpen need send down position player most playing good issue too many on DL
