True but human beings aren't supposed to do what Stanton is doing either, so all conventions can be thrown away. But I agree eventually this pitching will be exposed if the offense eventually comes back from Mars this year.

Have a winning season is priority, make the playoffs would be a blessing from the heavens considering all that's happened in the last 12 months. That would be enough to make this season a success. Anything more would just be icing on the cake.

I've also noticed that this was McGowans first blown save of the season. get Bour back, that helps the bench/depth. Call up Dillon Peters which gets Despaigne or Nicolino out of the rotation & adds an extra reliever if needed, and call up Brian Anderson.

Because the team averages less than 21,000 fans a game, has a practically worthless TV contract, and has the albatross contracts of Volquez, Chen and Tazawa hanging over its head. So we are told, and moreover that the above would justify the club unloading Stanton's contract. So it is our fate as Marlins fans to enjoy the moment and not think about tomorrow or what's left of the season. That's the line fed to us, short and long term.
