Mish can't be right though about the approval not being done yet. These things don't happen overnight.

 

It is possible the leaked one was just one of the contenders though and nobody knows the winner publicly. Though Lukas saying it was in the Style Guide says otherwise.

Seems so quick to get a new logo not even 1 year into an ownership change. Approvals, merchandising, making sure the merchant partners can even make the logo and 1 year lead for aquisition of new materials is the norm.

 

That original one the teal and pink, I feel like we've seen that on the proposed logo sheet in a different color scheme.

 

My understanding from Slaters scoop was change the Marlin orientation (move it ON TOP) of the M and use the Blue top, Orange bottom Marlin from the orange caps. Then make the outline of the M all blue, and dump the yellow and orange accent.

 

A tweak like that is allowed at any time, but a full on rebrand? I can't see that.

No, it is for the 2019 season so it already was approved. He should know that. They are showing the logo in November.

 

 

They should hire the California company that came up with Inter Miami CF logo.

The Marlins haven't confirmed anything of course, no team would.

As much as the red M sucks I like that it's not slanted. That's a good reference point to what I've been saying about the slant. Put that straightened orientation on the first logo and I'll be happier.

Yep I said that here yesterday.

 

 

Of all the ones discussed here I like this one the best.  New orientation for the marlin.  Nice color scheme.  Looks like there is a gold outline which combines well.  The straight up and down marlin looks like a dead fish being weighed. [ATTACH]2221._xfImport[/ATTACH]
