November 19, 20187 yr I think if the red was changed to pink it would end up even more saturated. The red turns to pink when next to the blue almost anyway. The people bitching about us stealing Miami’s colors are the same people that want the La Kings to go back to Purple and Yellow like the lakers and are probably the same people that wanted Teal and Orange. I actually think our Home and Road are the best two uniforms which is great since you will see them the most hopefully.

Your changes to the blue are for the best. Like the wordmark and definitely think it need the shoulder patch which was flat dumb they didn’t include it. I could understand leaving it off it was the same logo on the chest like our previous uniforms. The only changes I would make to the home and Road are to widen the accent colors on the arm trim and under the wordmark to match the numbers more. Then I would add the trim around the neck which I would really do to all 4 uniforms. The black is delicate issue because any changes by adding white kinda kills the effect they were going for. The only change I thought about and it could be a disaster is have the main potions of the wordmark that dazzle silver while still retains the blue and red drop shadow. Would be a good mix between bright white and black and would be a unique look. It would be hard to mock up because gray or flat silver wouldnt provide the same effect but I think it would really make the stuff pop. Or maybe keep everything the same and just add a 4th layer of the dazzle silver as an outline like our 2003-2011 set which was 4 layers. Might make the separation of colors easiers.

November 19, 20187 yr Let me add @SilverBullet that I think the standalone chest logo works better on the black then it does on the blue. Doesn’t get lost as much.

These are real changes and legit tweaks that would work without just saying "I hate them all scrap everything and just switch back to teal." Yeah about the black you nailed it... theres not enough contrast so everyone wants to add contrast but then it kills the effect of glowing neon lights at night. So it's a weird balance of keeping the desired effect but also risking the uniforms being illegible on TV or from a distance in the stands at the ballpark. I balanced those two thoughts and I figured that eventually practicality would win out. If enough fans say "those black unis are nice but I really have a hard time reading the names and numbers from my seats" then they'll be more likely to add some contrast which is why I went ahead and did those changes to the black jerseys.

November 19, 20187 yr Author Reading a few more threads over at creamers - they really don't like anything, do they? Sure they do. It's just the same old predictable stuff that falls into their predetermined categories of what they're supposed to and not supposed to like. Actually one good thread they have is called Unpopular Opinions and you find some gems in there because they purposely go against the norm. Like when 2019 comes someone will pop in that thread and say they like the Marlins unis. Another good thread(s) for the visuals is "Players in their Wrong Uniforms" and "Players on their right team but wrong uniforms." There are some excellent posts in those like Mike Piazza in a Marlins uniform and Jose Fernandez in a Florida Marlins uniform.

November 20, 20187 yr I’m probably in the minority but I don’t think the hat logo looks good on blue. On a hat or jersey. It blends in too much. Cool shirt though.
