Unveiling of new logos and uniforms

What special design? There's nothing there that would make it cost more to make. It could arguably be cheaper as I remember an article in 2012 saying the old caps were the most intricate caps in MLB history because of thread counts or something like that saying it was a longer process to make one cap than any other.

No wonder they kept the inside of the M empty - Jeter is being cheap! (Yes, I'm kidding).

In looking at some video of Harrison in yesterdays game I think the blue looks even more teal in sunlight, arguably almost more teal than our original teal which could look dark and greenish in some settings. I think this blue is gonna please everyone more and more over time. Check it out here especially the sleeve patch...

You can see on the left how the colors start to disappear when not in direct sunlight/light.

I'm not sold on the cap, I mean maybe it would be good for BP or spring training or players weekend but the wordmark on the blue jersey like this is what I want. Maybe add a white trim to it like the numbers have...

I like that better, and yeah, I think it'd benefit from a white outline.

Click on these pics individually. The higher quality pics in sunlight makes the trim show up better...

The problem is, without direct light, the colors disappear almost completely.

I keep seeing a comparison drawn to the Heats Vice uniform.  For starters I don’t think outsiders realize that the Vice design is a callback to the Miami Arena Marquee.  I think they believe it is 100% a Miami Vice inspiration.  Secondly i think the Marlins blue and red are a better look than the heats baby blue and pink.   The pink is hot.  Inter Miami’s pink is soft and that application works as a primary color.  The hot pink is fun for an occasional wear but not everyday.  The Marlins colors for everyday use is much better. Third, the color details matter more for fan merchandise.  Those highlights will pop on our shirts just fine.  As for on the field use I think people are caught up in the details a bit much.  A more muted use is more appropriate for the field.

From what I saw, at least on the black t-shirts, they don't pop that much.

Don't like the pink.

Me either.

I'm about done with the uniforms analysis but I finally got these done... these are the changes I've had in mind. A couple have options that I would be happy with either so I didn't make a decision one way or the other, Do these and add a blue brimmed cap option and I'd be in love with the uniforms. Disclaimer, these are cheap photo shops, not meant to be precise, just to visualize the changes...

Well said. Good luck ever getting anyone on the creamer boards to accept this explanation.

My random uniform thought of the day... I love the M at the begining of the wordmarks more and more each time I look at it. The two curved points are gorgeous yet still so simple and classic. It's like a classic letting script yet it also reminds me of a wave or even a fish tail or fin. It's perfect.

Love that white jersey you created with the blue number on front. So fresh.

The blue one is an improvement as well.

I do like the Marlins on the blue one.

Thanks. Also important to remember these uniforms are for our players and our fans.  So if someone else doesn’t like it then who cares.

Oh good.  The Indians revealed their 2019 uniforms.  The creamer board can debate the merits of white outlines for them now.

Saw this comment there-  "If I had but five wishes left that could be fulfilled before I died, one would be that the Cleveland Indians abandon that ****ing Atlanta Braves-like "Indians" script for all time.  Ugh."

That's sad if one of your 5 wishes would involve the script on a uniform of a MLB team.

My fifth wish is more wishes.

Interesting the shirt logo is all the blue and without the red which basically makes it look teal and black.

The blue certainly pops there.
