November 20, 20187 yr @taiwanmarlin check this out how awesome, a Taiwanese illustrator made this... But that's not Chen, looked like a American player…
November 20, 20187 yr Author Chen’s jersey looks too big on him. It's accurate. It often looks like that when he's in motion. November 20, 20187 yr "Home Black" is interesting. Some could take this to mean the black would only be a home option. I take it to mean, they are just showing how it looks with home pants. I fully believe it'll be worn on the road as well.

I fully believe it'll be worn on the road as well. Maybe but maybe not... maybe Jeter doesn't like alternates in road games? It's possible they stick to the grays every road game which might be kinda awesome. You're right though, there's no telling what home black actually means.
November 20, 20187 yr Looking forward to see what they call the blue (Road Blue, Home Blue, Pregame Blue, etc) also we are assuming social media people are tied into the intended uses of these garments
November 20, 20187 yr Author also we are assuming social media people are tied into the intended uses of these garments I don't think they'd randomly put a name on these things without input from the team. The uniform/rebrand posts definitely feel "directed" by the team as opposed to some of their other more random posts.

I'm going to get one - didn't see them at the store. Interesting that it's discounted for the next 13 hours too. ($3 off) but nothing else is. https://www.mlbshop.com/miami-marlins/mens-miami-marlins-majestic-heather-gray-hometown-collection-sugar-skull-t-shirt/t-25660926+p-2569507534445+z-9-42453960 Check out the color of the hat there. Yeah, I saw that shirt at the team store.
November 20, 20187 yr Author Getting sick of creamers board comparing the Marlins and the Heat Vice uniforms as a way to rip on the Marlins. The more I look at the two looks the more I realize the Marlins aren't trying to look like the Heat Vice uniforms. So I made this post and thought it was worth sharing here... Teams in the same city can have similar color schemes and similar themes but still be very different. ************************************************ The more I look at both teams I don't think the Marlins and Heat are doing the exact same thing at all. They're actually doing two different themes that happen to have similarities because... wait for it... because they're in the same city. Comparing them as if they're identical muddles up what we expect of the two looks. It almost must be clarified that the Miami Heat's Vice uniforms are only a special event alternate look... their true identity and colors scheme is still of a literal fireball of heat, red yellow and black. The Heat are doing a Miami Vice TV show color scheme based off the aesthetics of the old Miami Arena in the late 1980's. This... This... That's an enormous difference in the two looks. Is it not possible that the Marlins are not trying to do what the Heat are doing and thus the aesthetics that they've chosen are appropriate for the identity that they want to represent?
November 20, 20187 yr @SilverBullet well said. The Miami Beach image is good. Possibly rationale for keeping lettering black
November 20, 20187 yr Author @SilverBullet well said. The Miami Beach image is good. Possibly rationale for keeping lettering black It's 100% the rationale for it. People complaining because it's too much black... and you know what? It kinda is! And I wish it had a little more color here and there but damn it's pretty obvious that there's a lot of black because THAT'S HOW THEY WANTED IT! They're not trying to copy the Miami Heat's Vice City uniforms, these uniforms have nothing to do with pastel colors and an outdated 80's TV show. The Miami Marlins are representing neon lights at night, in total darkness.

I prefer the black on black with colores outlines

November 21, 20187 yr @SilverBullet I was originally on the fence with the new uniforms. I'm guessing that seeing them on the field will give me a better feel for them. I'm a traditionalist at heart and I was hoping they would go back to more of an original look with the teal. However, the more I see of them the more I like them. The blue uniforms are really sweet. I really had a problem at first with the darkness of the whole scheme and the red (or hot pink) also, but my son pointed out how similar this look is to the Miami Heat Vice uniforms which I do like. As long as they get rid of the fucking lime green walls, I'm good. #JetersNotSoBad

November 23, 20187 yr Noticed the blue jerseys are $300 for an authentic on MLB shop. I have a feeling were going to see another jersey for the BP. I wonder why they went with a black BP cap.
November 24, 20187 yr Got my low-crown hat today. They are very nice. And surprisingly I think their is a lot more consistency between he low crown sizes than there are with the high crowns.

Are you happy with the stitching choices and non stitching areas ? Is it made in USA? My 25th Anniversary hat is an excellent fit. My 12-17 marlins hat not so much.

Yeah it’s made in China. I love the look of it, especially the raised Marlin. I do wish they had full embroidered the M as well
