Shutout record

Honestly, before this season, I expect we gonna start with bottom of NL east. But not like this.

Did Astros and Nats, formerly tanking teams, play like '19 Fish?

If you mean record wise, yes. Worse even. Astros lost 106,107,111 from 2011-2013. They began to improve record wise in 2014 when they lost only 92.

I really hope it doesn't take another 2-3 years beyond this season ?

Such meaningless records too. It's cuz they have nothing else to write about. Yeah we suck we get it. None of this matters if they get it right in the end. Tell me what bad stats the Astros had from 2011-2013 and then I'll show you a picture of their world series parade.

Anyone wanna guess how many of the 2017 Astros position players were on the 2013 Astros? I just looked it up.

Gonna say 1: Jose Altuve.

2, Altuve and Marwin Gonzalez.

Moral of the story: the crappy players at the start of a rebuild aren't the ones who will be there when the rebuild is "complete." Stop thinking the Marlins can't be good again just because the 2019 team is bad. This isn't the team that is supposed to be good. This is a transitional group that is purposely tanking while the organization acquires and develops the pieces that will eventually be a part of the future.

i'm angry i can't justify the MLB Extra Innings expense for the 2nd year in a row. I keep hoping to find a reason to watch baseball this Summer but i just keep looking at those boxscores and nope. I'm not ponying up that money just to see Caleb pitch.

We also have Don Mattingly starting Rosell Herrera and his .203/.280/.243 over Harold Ramirez, who was slashing .355/.408/.591 in Triple-A and has only had the chance to play two games in the big leagues, while Herrera plays in his 35th already this season.

I remember the Marlins Twitter account posting some stats about Herrera being "hot" in May cause he had something like 6 hits in 20 ABs. Looks like they've since deleted it cause I can't find it now. lol

For the moment, it's the fanbase getting it.... right in the end...

Us: "How many more seasons will there be of Marlins baseball?"

DS: "14,000,605."

Us: "And how many of those seasons will we have a good team?"

DS: "One."

It's like Thanos snapped his finger and we only got to keep the shitty half of our team

That would imply there was a good half. lmao funniest joke here in weeks.

Yeah, their names were Stanton, Realmuto, Ozuna, and that Yelich guy to name a few
