October 1, 20196 yr I don't know who Ryan Spaeder is, but if he doesn't understand what the Marlins did, and why, he's an idiot.
October 1, 20196 yr Someone can correct me on this, but wasn't there an article (maybe SI?!?) about the cost for each win? As I recall it seemed like it was about the Astros, how the amount varies but sometimes it costs more to put together a team that's not in contention than one that is. I'm not saying that's what the Marlins did, but fiscally it does makes sense.
October 1, 20196 yr I've followed Spaeder for a few years, and there's a couple things. 1) He's a Phillies fan, so, this may be more of his hope than actual thoughts. 2) He will sometimes post stuff like this to get a reaction out of people - maybe he does actually believe this, but I doubt it. Last night he went on a tweet streak of Altuve vs Pete Rose stats and he knows it'll get a rise out of some people [and boy does it - I kind of enjoy it myself lol]. He's not a bad guy. Does kinda humblebrag a bit but that's whatever.
October 2, 20196 yr I've followed Spaeder for a few years I have many questions. Does he know that you have been following him? Does he have other stalkers? Do you just watch him from some back alley while he does monotonous daily tasks?
