Mets brought in a lefty for Harper with the bases loaded and he hit him. Had to keep him in for JT who tied it with a single.

Phillies took the lead on an error by the Mets. Guillorme for the Mets with the error was in the game as a defensive replacement.

Mattingly is going to lose the team if he keeps this up.   His lineup shuffle after the bats caught fire is asinine.  Batting Dickerson in Rojas spot?  Where is Jazz man?  This has to be a Mike Redmond move with Jazz.  How else can you explain why Jazz didn’t start?

I think you mean Mark Redman.

(Joking, of course)

In more serious terms, though.

The lead-off batter needs to either be Marte, Rojas, or Jazz. Dickerson, move him down to 6th or 7th, or honestly, on the bench. I'd probably go with ...

Jazz

Marte

Aguilar

Cooper (RF)

Anderson

Duvall (LF)

Alfaro

Rojas

Pitcher

Throw Berti in there somewhere twice a week, maybe against a lefty, keep Dickerson on the bench (we actually need a lefty on the bench besides Sierra), and keep the best bats in the lineup full time. Rojas 8th because he'll give better AB before the pitcher than Alfaro would.

Against lefties, switch Jazz and Marte. OR DON'T! Just let them settle in with those spots. Duvall shouldn't be the 4-hole hitter, though.

Ask your friend who knows Craig Mish personally to show Craig Mish that post you wrote, and then Craig Mish can give that idea to Donnie.

Have you noticed how the one game that the Marlins have won so far this season, the lineup looked completely different, and the three loses, the lineup has been pretty much the same.

It’s like with the regular lineup, the energy and vibe is completely different, feels pretty slow and dull, but the lineup on the game they won, had such an exciting feeling and the team actually looked like they were having fun!

And maybe coincidentally or not, the Marlins scored 12 runs that game, with Dick, Duvall and BA having the night off, of course Duvall helped with a Hr, but so far in these 4 games, Dick and Duvall have been performing their best as pinch hitters. 😂

That’s why this team came out flat.  I think they where totally surprised and taken back by the lineup.

Donnie has a history of benching guys that are on hot streaks. Used to do it with Ozuna a lot. It's his by the book planned day off managing style. Today was going to be a day off for Jazz no matter what. Dude could be 0-for-15 with 15 strikeouts or batting 1.000 with 10 home runs and he would have been on the bench today.

You can see Donnie just shuffles the lineup to accommodate Dickerson leading off.  I get that he wants everyone to to play (sorry Brinson) and step up do your job but, there’s a reason why baseball is full of streaks.  You gotta go with the hottest lineup in the working order.

When you lose gms because of a faulty manager and not because of the talent it’s really concerning even if we are just 4 gms in.

I think this post should go to Mish as well.
