The guys been right many times and you won't let him be wrong especially when that one's been explained pretty well. A big trade was in the works and fell through. He wasn't wrong, the trade he was reporting just didn't get completed. He could have worded it differently but come on.

SHOULD have worded it differently.

rookie beat writer mistake or desperate for clicks.

Ok so we gonna just discount every tweet he ever makes for the rest of time now? What an over reaction.

I do think it is ok to question him and not just assume everything he says is true cause he says it.

dont recall saying that.

he needs to be be accurate more often than just teasing fans though.  It's fine when you are basically a radio talk show guy, blogger, whatever.

But doesnt he actually write for the Herald as well?  There needs to be higher standards if you work for a print outlet.

That's fair but you're all over him lately, I'm gonna just assume it's also just a running joke here and that's fine too of course.

I think I've made maybe 2 or 3 posts about Mish total. Don't see how I'm all over him.

Yes - not that often, though. Seems like once a month, kind of a recap thing of behind the scenes items he's gathered. Not as often as, say, McPherson or a Barry Jackson.

Curious as to your thought on why Jeter left? Which way are you leaning?

I believe he was told payrolls would grow more than they have. I think that's the "vision" he referred to. I believe Sherman is a cheap fuck and Jeter got tired of being the public face of that.

I could be wrong, but that is what I believe.

Thats my point though.

You cant have it both ways.  If you are going to write for a traditional outlet, you need to hold yourself to higher standards, not tease about something you hear (from Jeter?) and then go publishing that kind of stuff (which you technically do on twitter)

Gotta think, though, last year was him holding back information that he received. He's certainly making more claims now and, much as I hate to say it given who has been hashtagging it a bunch the last few years, let's wait to see what happens now that Jeter is out of the way. Either Jeter wanted to spend and Sherman didn't or that's simply not true. According to Mish, Sherman wants to win, so we'll see how true that is in the next week or so if this CBA gets approved.

I'm hoping Mish is correct.

If Sherman spends money very soon after the lockout would that change your mind on Jeter leaving because of payroll disagreements?
