Honestly that may be because they believe it's close enough. That and ... have you ever stayed at work until after midnight? It sucks.

They could always move the deadline again if needed anyway. The deadline is malleable considering MLB is the one who chose it.

I can appreciate them staying up late to get this done but they wouldn't have to do this if they'd just shown this urgency a few weeks back.

He can only report what he hears and is able to share. I can just about guarantee he doesn't enjoy looking like he's unreliable.

That said, Marte for Luzardo was kind of mind-blowing. It's not always a positive connotation.
