The owners have been acting like fucking assholes for years now, they have been negotiating in bad faith and trying to bend over the players backward for whatever reason.

Instead of growing the game and everyone benefitting, its almost like their ideas are we benefit or nobody benefits.  Fuck our labor force.

I hope someone fights to take away their fucking anti trust exemption and a rouge league is started that is more fan friendly.

At the end of the day, the owners view the players as a replaceable commodity when in actuality the owners are the ones who are replaceable.

I don't see either side being stupid enough to lose a season, but the owners already had a 60 game season and probably deemed it successful enough that they feel they can play hardball and miss games.

They are trying to splinter the union, and IDK if it'll work but I can see the pre-free agency players pulling out of the union and being scabs if this keeps up and they feel they are neglected.

I can also see a season played with the AAA team in the MLB ones place. The minors have reported to camp....wouldnt surprise me one bit if the owners force them to play come May or June to start fufilling TV contracts.

Maybe the mods can separate all this CBA talk into a different thread? I want “hot stove” talk here, not interested in all these politics.

So a deal is coming but opening day is still in jeopardy. 

I think they'll eventually agree if the price is right. 

Let's see if the wheels of fortune start spinning tomorrow or not but this feels like one big family feud thus far. 

 

I just wonder if cancelations will be day-for-day or if they're going to do a week's worth of games at a time or what's the deal there.

Probably depends on how close they think they are. I'd assume one day at a time because if they continue to meet daily then, obviously, a deal can happen at any point. If they don't have a deal tomorrow but might have one Tuesday it wouldn't make sense to cancel multiple games at a time.
