Honestly she might not have had to say much. If he didnt have any other options and I believe he lives in Miami, it's a no brainer to stick around for the inevitable call up.

Kim Ng says Yuli can spell Garrett Cooper which I found to be a weird thing to say since Garrett Cooper isn't very hard to spell as it's a common name and it doesn't have that many letters. I would think Yulieski Gurriel is way harder to spell than Garrett Cooper.

To be fair, if spanish is his first language, those extra letters - r's and t's and o's could be confusing lol.
