ADT is the jersey sponsor

Featured Replies

I didn't realize ADT was a local company.

Also, not sure if you're joking about the $15M part, but the article did say 3 years, but didn't give a dollar figure.

I don't love an advertising patch on the sleeve, but it is what it is and was inevitable.  As long as the jerseys don't become a billboard.

ADT stands for A Desperate Team, so this works.

(also, $5 million a year seems low?)

For a small jersey patch? I think 5 mill is pretty good.

The Herald article also said they're getting advertising around the park....

In addition to the uniform patches, ADT signage will appear throughout loanDepot park and along the third base line on the field. Also, there will be a suite reserved at the stadium for ADT employees and customers.

So for $15M over 3 years, they get:

-Sleeve patches

-Signage throughout the park

-Signage on the 3rd baseline along the field

-A suite for ADT employees

LOL, I have no idea what these sponsorship/signage deals go for normally.

Honestly it's better marketing than a stadium name, in my opinion. You're seeing these jerseys on TV constantly if you're watching a Marlins game. How often are you exposed to the loanDepot logo?

Well, they air several commercials throughout the games (home and away), not to mention "loanDepot Park" is plastered all over the backstop at the park, so for home games, you're seeing it constantly.

Sleeve patches would really only be seen on closeups and at the right angle (for instance if it's on the right side, a camera shot from the left you wouldn't see it).

Boca Raton based.  Used to be a subsidiary of Tyco

At least the colors sort of match.  Cincinnati has a blue Kroger patch.  Seems like they should have sponsors agree to a color scheme that fits with the uniform

Would be nice but really defeats the point of an advertisement. If I'm paying for the advertisement I'm paying to advertise my brand accurately. For example, Coca-Cola predominantly uses red so they wouldn't agree to a blue Coca-Cola logo on a Dodgers or Royals jersey. Now if a team would limit their advertising options to companies that already use their preferred colors that would surely be nice but that's not how that works either.

Good point

The Ghost of Tommy LaSorda would rise and haunt the Dodgers until they removed that logo. Tommy hated the color red.

Just hope that two patches won't adding too much weight to the jerseys and affect the performance of the players …cheap ass Sherman.

Hahaha.. I work with ADT on a regular basis. They're a nightmare. Bet they're late on the payment lol
