I think it's just a "lets throw something out there" rendering to get people excited and hopefully spur the lawmakers to pass the necessary measures to make it happen.

Jacob Solis, Sean Golonka and Tabitha Mueller of the Nevada Independent were among those to cover the news. It’s a notable hurdle cleared for A’s ownership. The bill will be put in front of the state assembly tomorrow afternoon. If approved by the assembly, it’d go to Governor Joe Lombardo’s office for ratification. Lombardo has been a strong supporter of the legislation and would be expected to ratify. At that point, the A’s could formally apply MLB for relocation. ... There’s little question about the A’s finding support from Lombardo or MLB. Commissioner Rob Manfred has publicly backed the franchise’s efforts, agreeing to waive the relocation fee to facilitate the move. Looks like it's only a matter of time. I get Manfred wants to get this resolved finally after decades of failed efforts, but not sure why they'd waive the relocation fee.
June 14, 20233 yr Ah shit... That cheap dirtbag of an owner better start opening his wallet. It's already bad enough that we got 1 team from Oakland, now that makes two... and both of the owners are a mess. Raiders tickets are super expensive, and most that go to games are tourists. VGK has the city's full support as they are homegrown. I find it hard to see how the A's would garner support if they don't spend or invest in the club.
