April 23, 20233 yr Sweeps are hard, keep winning series and you're in good shape. Big week and a half coming, if we play well then I think people have to start noticing this team more.
April 23, 20233 yr Also maybe the Avi homer today is a good sign, it would really help vs Atlanta to have Avi getting a few hits.
April 23, 20233 yr The Marlins are one of the lowest scoring teams. Look at the total runs scored and its almost comical compared to other teams. Gonna ride the high since they actually looked like a professional club lately despite like half the team having terrible on base plus slugging stats.
April 23, 20233 yr As long as they're scoring more runs than their opponents on most days of the week then I'm not complaining about their total number of runs scored.

I have to believe having Arraez in that lineup has had an impact on at least 4 wins by now considering Segura has been an epic bust (and i don't mean of the centerfold variety) so far, Avi is being somehow worse than last season, Jazz is whiffing at an insane pace, and neither Fortes nor Stallings seem to have any idea how to hit a baseball either...oh and Sandy has had two horrendous starts. Still...at this juncture you have to believe that... Jazz will get better Sandy will get better Segura won't be a clone of last season's "big" signing and play as piss poor as Avi has since being signed I don't know about Fortes at this point. I'd like to think he's better than THIS version. I know he's not some star catcher but a .225ish average with 12 homers seemed within reach after last season? If you want to bring back "fan fav" Alfaro he'd likely come awfully cheap considering he's just toiling away in the Red Sox minor league system.

Wow. yeah. i didn't even know the Pads released him after last season but they did and Boston signed him to a minor league deal and that's where he's at. I was.....kinda surprised? Anyway, he should be dirt cheap if we get utterly infuriated with the lack of production from Fortes/Stallings after a bit. Alfaro does kinda suck at the actual catching part of the job though from what I remember.

Yeah, while a sweep (or sweeps) is nice, I'd rather take 2 of 3 consistently than a random sweep followed by losing 4 of 5.

To be fair, that does always seem to happen in May, IIRC.

Massive losing streak and a bad game in Seattle with some weird play at the plate? Something with Steve Cishek? Was that when we were the home team there? Was McKeon back yet? Am I remembering this wrong?
