The Cardinals are going to be forced into making a decision on him SOON.  He is out of options next year, he has really grown this year as a hitter.

His defense has continued to improve.  I would have far preferred him over Contreras as the long term catcher.

They are far higher on Jimmy Crooks long term but he is a good 2 years away at least.

Many teams SHOULD try to make a run at Herrera.  I assume he'd cost a premium pitching prospect plus a little more, due to scarcity of the position.

Right now the FCL Marlins are whipping up on the FCL Cardinals as well.  Neither team has a lot of good pitching though.

The Marlins class of 2021/ 2022 (Vargas, Peguero, Gerardo, Hernandez, Sanchez etc.) could be the Golden class when all is said and done.  The international signings in the last few years are miles and miles better than the barren and embarrassing signings of the 2010s.

Good info buddy.  Crooks is solid too.  I'd love ten years of Herrera and Banfield behind the plate.  Don't know if the marlins consider him but I rate him very highly.

I personally like Davis and liked him out in CF. Would be sad if he’s out indefinitely. You could see the pain on Davis face. Not even the physical pain but more so the disappointment of him getting hurt right when it seemed like he was getting his chance to be an everyday player. 😔

Who here hates Davis? Most of us know he's a glove first guy and any offense from him is a bonus.
