Imagine taking 2 of 3 from the Mets

Why not just imagine the sweep of the Mets? It seemed to work against the Braves.

First you gotta imagine 2 of 3. That's how this works

Obviously the best part of this series was making ground in the WC race, but on another note: sweeping the Braves has to be a HUGE confidence builder for this team seeing as how the Braves had basically used the Marlins as a chew toy up until this point.

Mets handled the Marlins pretty damn well early on too so you'd love to see them exorcise those demons too by wiping the mat with them

Definitely, but I was more referring to the event of the Marlins potentially seeing the Braves in the playoffs. It's nice knowing that they can actually beat them.

Ooh good point, this weekend could have set up a nice NLDS or NLCS storyline with "Braves have been great but Marlins swept them in Sept, what's gonna happen this series?"

Since dropping below .500 on Aug. 30, the Marlins have gone 12-5. Heck of a response.

Also, they scored 36 runs in this series after scoring just five in four games against the Brewers. This team is so weird but they are fun and I'm here for it.

78 wins tops the 2017 team who had superstars Giancarlo Stanton and Christian Yelich and Marcell Ozuna and JT Realmuto and Dee Gordon and Justin Bour and Derek Dietrich and --

Anyways. 79th win will tie the 2016 club.

Ah yes that championship squad that never had a winning season!
