As I thought, I don't like the white though obviously the legibility is improved. White isn't an actual Marlins color so it looks off. Plus it's gonna look really stupid when they were that with the gray pants.

In that sense the black wordmark might even be better and they could have added a white outline to help it be legible, like the Angels red jersey is.

I'm so scared about the price and quality of these new Nike replicas. The prices go higher while the quality goes down. Damn shame. Years ago replica jerseys were affordable and looked better. Now they're more expensive and they don't look as good.

Plus it would have made the ADT logo a little less out of place. As long as ADT allowed them to match the blue instead of using ADT's blue. I believe the Mutts got that done with their patch.

Hey, I'd be happy to be wrong and have them win 85......I just have a hard time seeing it (at this moment) with little to no improvements, and losing Sandy/counting on the young guys.

Maybe they make a move or two before the season starts, but right now....eh

Burger will have to replace Soler's power for sure and Jazz will have to actually play in 140+ games AND stop swinging at trash AND start stealing bases again. Arraez will have to produce at a similar rate as last year before teams figured out to pitch him up (I think Arraez will do this part tbh).

Also Brax will have to be just as good, Eury can't get injured and Lizard has to repeat.

 

Then sure. 85 wins.

Even with your scenarios working it’ll be tough to get to 80W. Every SP but (maybe) lizard and Braxton will be on an innings limit. After the 1-5 hitters it’s basically replacement level Or below replacement guys. I do have high hopes for X tho if he can figure out defense.  I also expect a monster year from burger and predict he makes all star.
 

there’s also no guarantee tanner keeps his bbs down as he was incredible last year although I do think it’ll be an above average bullpen while also being extremely stretched due to lack of sp

They RIGHT NOW have issues in half their rotation whether it be questions if they can be viable (Meyer), to questions as to how many innings they can go (Perez, Meyer, Rogers, whomever else you want to put in this)

To questions of talent (Cabrera, that WHIP is NOT viable), can they start (Puk), can they be an effective MLB pitcher (Meyer)

I mean sure when not on innings limits this team has a real nice rotation.  If everyone produces to their perceived talent then yes also.

Outside of Luzardo and Garrett I dont know who you can honestly say is reliable to answer the bell for 30 plus starts this upcoming season.

Going to be difficult to get to 80 wins let alone 85 with this much of an issue.

Its why I"ve said the Marilns should have been ALL IN on finding some veteran starter to sign for a year to essentially replace Sandy's spot in the rotation and the innings he gives you.  But pretty much everyone has scoffed and said, nah its good.

I don't think anyone here has said the Marlins have enough pitching depth. It's the team that says it publicly but I'd even doubt that they believe that behind the scenes. If they really want to just coast this year and build for 2025 then they will even though it sucks though part of me is impressed that they haven't given in to signing any free agents. Bendix must really believe in his plan if he's sticking to it this seriously.
