How about changing that to just "spending" teams? Considering how our offseason has gone.

I know what you're saying but to be fair to @TaiwanMarlins teams that spend more that also have good front office staff who knows how to assess talent do have a better shot at winning more consistently than teams who don't spend at all beyond bare minimum. 

I'm not saying everyone has to be the Dodgers but Brucey should have added at least one mid-level or slightly above piece to this roster on multiple opportunities and has failed to do so.

You know this already too but y'all are just eternally mean to our resident time traveler.

Things didn’t get much better in Cleveland. Syndergaard returned from the IL to start six games. He pitched to a 5.40 ERA while allowing 10 home runs in 33 1/3 innings. The Guardians released him at the end of August. He didn’t sign elsewhere and finished his year with a 6.50 ERA across 88 2/3 frames. His 14.3% strikeout percentage and 8.2% swinging strike rate were each personal lows, while he allowed a career-worst 2.23 home runs per nine innings. Once one of the sport’s hardest throwers, the righty has lost a lot of velocity in recent seasons. His fastball was down around 92 MPH on average last year.

I hope you're being sarcastic here because that's literally just one team and I said in general teams that spend more and have good FO's in place tend to win more consistently. There is always going to be an outlier or two though. (Really just the Rays though)
