In his defense, in one of those ADT videos Jazz did address this very point. He said he knows his numbers are great but they don't mean much until he can prove it for a full season. It's gotta be so frustrating.

Yeah nothing there makes sense. At first I was thinking that maybe he was implying those type of numbers could get the Marlins to the first or second round of the playoffs. Which is also dumb because one player’s individual performance is nowhere good enough to get the Marlins to the postseason as we all saw with many good offensive seasons of Stanton, Miguel Cabrera and others wasn’t enough to get them to the postseason in and of itself.

But if he’s implying that Jazz’s potential numbers over a full season would have got him retroactively drafted in the 1st or 2nd round of MLB draft also doesn’t make much sense.

But as well, if he’s saying that his potential numbers could get him drafted high in a fantasy baseball draft then I guess that could make sense. But I don’t even want to pretend to understand how fantasy baseball works. So I will leave it at that.

It's gotta be him saying that Jazz's numbers are those of someone who could be drafted in the 1st or 2nd round of a fantasy draft. That's the only explanation that makes sense.

I think this may be the deadest Marlins offseason in my memory. You trade for Christian Bethancourt and a couple of guys who are probably going to be on the Jacksonville to Miami shuttle most of the year, and that's it. Meanwhile, your 2nd best hitter from last season is a FA and hasn't even been contacted by the team.

I assume you were talking about @TaiwanMarlins but this is my point with people in Miami anyways, the Marlins haven't given casual fans any real reason to be pumped up for Fan Fest so no need to stage a boycott as people probably won't be rushing over there anyways.

No.....I'm saying I personally wasn't going to go regardless......and certainly wouldn't go after doing absolutely nothing this offseason.....so would it count as a boycott if you weren't going to begin with?
