Agree. Very positive sigh about accountability

I agree. Both this move and sending down Ramirez for Mack are moves that improve out chances to win. I'm assuming it will be Braxton that gets the call up.

Also, let's not forget they DFA'd Slater as well. Something is different this season. I won't get my hopes up, though.

I did like Paddack. Underlying stats said that he did get a bit unlucky. However, the underlying stats said that he was merely mediocre instead of the actual results of him being absolutely awful. Even with the expected stats he was the worst starter and probably would be worse than Snelling or Brax. The fact that Clayton said that he was going to start on Friday... is more evidence that you cannot trust what he says to the media. Either that or the FO just threw him under the bus with the DFA when he thought that Paddack was staying.

All the moves (Slater, Ramirez, Mack and Paddack) showing Marlins players this team is serious to compete but also showing them to gear up or somebody would take your spot.

While nothing will be confirmed until at least Thursday, we will probably know wh is getting called up by tonight. If Brax gets scratched from his start tonight, then it will be him. If not, then it will be Snelling.

Honestly, Slater was only signed because someone got hurt, so the fact that he was DFA'd when Stowers came back was not too surprising. The Gus and Paddack moves were pretty bold though.

If they were serious to compete, they'd have done more in the offseason....

I'm excited to see Snelling, but I have to wonder what the front office is thinking with Brax. This dude had solidified himself as a quality major league starter and staple of the rotation in 2022 and 2023. Yes, I realize he missed 2 years due to injury. So I get why they started him in AAA, but all he's done is dominate AAA. So what does he have to do? Is it just a matter of, he's not a "Bendix Guy"? Will he just be trade bait?

You’d think he’d be first up for service time on Snelling
